Whether kids or adults ,mostly everyone enjoys playing games . Games can be played on gatherings like Birthday parties ,christmas or family get togethers ,on a road trip or even on a long, rainy day when you can't go out and are stranded at home .Games is a great way of spending time together ,making the parties and get togethers more enjoyable and especially ,keeping children out of mischief .

6)The ultimate memory game
This is a nice game ,especially for the adults who struggle to recollect things .
Rules :
An assortment of about 20-25 everyday items is kept

in a corner hidden from view .The assortment could contain items like lipstick ,nail ,rubber band ,toy ,crayon,CD etc .One by one each of the participants are taken and are allowed to view the collection for a minute . After coming back they have to recollect as many items as possible and list them down .The person with the maximum number of items on his list ,wins.
Variations:
To make it tougher ,ask the participants to memorize details like colour of the items example -red crayon,blue rubberband etc.

7)Tall tale
Another highly creative game that allows you to be very imaginative ,by spinning tales and stories instantaneously .Grandparents and children are very good at this game because of their ability to cook up characters and situations fast .
Rules :
Everyone participating in the game are supposed to sit in a circle facing each other . A person begins narrating some story -any story that he likes . At an intersting point ,without warning ,he stops and takes another persons' name .That person has to continue the story from where the last person left .He can introduce his own characters,places ,situations.In the end ,the story becomes a jumble of all these things which is hilarious .A horror story can end up becoming a comedy ,a romantic tale becomes a murder mystery etc.
Variations :
Another story telling game that is a bit more challenging involves making a story as well as performing it .The participants are divided into teams consisting of 5-6 members each . They are given around 10-12 props such as handbag ,toy gun ,hammer , a flight ticket etc .Each time has to create a story using these props and enact it out .The team using maximum props and having the most creative story ,wins.

8) Killer
This is a fun,party game appropriate for kids and teenagers .
Rules :
All the participants sit in a circle making sure faces of all are clearly visble to the others . Chits ,equal to the number of participants, are made out of paper with 1 chit containing the word "killer " and another

containing the word "detective " . The chits are shuffled well and everyone picks up a chit .The person who is a detective ,announces his identity .The killer however ,remains silent .The killer si supposed to "murder" the rest of the participants by discreetly making eye contact and winking at them one by one . Once a person is winked at ,he shouts "Im dead " .The detective has to catch the killer correctly before all the paticipants are killed .

9)Fun with letters
An easy to understand ,team based game which is played often at office outings and outdoor parties .
Rules :
Participants are divided into teams consisting of 3-4 members . The refree stands in the middle such that he is almost equidistant from all the teams . The refree announces a letter clearly .The teams have to collect any object which begins with that letter and run towards the refree carrying the object . For example -letter is B , a team member having a bangle can run and show it to the refree . You can pick up any object from your surroundings .The team bringing the first object gets ten points .After playing the game repeatedly ,the team with maximum points wins.

10)Guess the four letter word
This game is a rather tough one ,even for adults . It requires concentration and logic along with basic vocabulary skills .It is usually played between two people .
Rules :
One of the players ,thinks of a four letter word and draws 4 blanks (_ _ _ _) on a paper to represent it (say the word is HOME) .The other player tries to guess the word ,by randomly saying any 4 letter word that comes to his mind (example he said MAKE ).The first player indicates how close the other player has come to guessing the word correctly, using some predefined rules like $ for 1 correct letter ,# for correct letter in its proper place .In the example ,M and E have been correctly guessed ,so $$ and position of E is correct so a single #. This goes on till the word is guessed .In may sound very difficult as there are thousands of four letter words,but using careful logic and after practice ,the game usually becomes much easier .
